Take pneumatic as an example, pneumatic is divided into single action (spring return) and double action. Drive the valve rod to rotate through compressed air.

2. The output torque of the pneumatic actuator depends on the torque required by the valve
The torque required for opening and closing the valve determines the output torque selected by the electric actuator, which is usually selected by the user or the valve manufacturer. As the actuator manufacturer, it is only responsible for the output torque of the actuator. The torque required for normal opening and closing of the valve is determined by the valve diameter, working pressure and other factors. However, due to the different processing precision and assembly process of the valve manufacturer, The torque required by valves of the same specification produced by different manufacturers is also different, even the torque of valves of the same specification produced by the same valve manufacturer is also different. When the torque of the actuator is too small, the valve cannot be opened and closed normally, so the pneumatic actuator must select a reasonable torque range. 2. The torque required to rotate the valve is too small and the service life is too long. Generally, it is OK to leave 30% torque margin.
The difference is that when selecting the type, the torque of the actuator is too small, which will cause that the valve cannot be opened and closed normally, so the pneumatic actuator must select a reasonable torque range.
