Classification and introduction of pneumatic actuators
Pneumatic actuator is an actuator that uses pneumatic drive valve to switch or adjust, also called pneumatic actuator or pneumatic device, but it is usually called pneumatic head. The actuator and regulator of the pneumatic actuator are integrated, including the diaphragm, piston, fork and rack and pinion actuator.
Long stroke, suitable for situations requiring large thrust. On the other hand, the diaphragm travel is small and can only directly drive the valve stem. Fork type pneumatic actuator has the characteristics of high torque, small space and matching with the valve torque curve, but it is not very beautiful. It is usually used for high torque valves. The rack and pinion pneumatic actuator has the advantages of simple structure, stable and reliable operation, safety and explosion-proof. It is widely used in power plants, chemical industry, oil refining and other manufacturing processes with high safety requirements.
1. Membrane actuator
The membrane actuator is commonly used as a universal control valve driver to form a pneumatic diaphragm brake. The signal pressure p of the pneumatic membrane actuator acts on the membrane to deform the membrane, driving the membrane push rod to move the valve core and change the valve opening. The utility model has the advantages of simple structure, low price, convenient maintenance, wide application range, etc.
Pneumatic diaphragm actuators are available in direct and reverse forms. When the signal pressure from the controller or valve positioner increases, the downward movement of the valve stem is called a positive driver; when the signal pressure increases, the upward movement of the valve stem is called a reverse driver. The signal pressure of the actuator is transmitted to the membrane air chamber above the corrugated film, and the signal pressure of the reaction actuator is transmitted to the membrane air chamber below the corrugated film. You can change both by swapping individual parts.

A valve positioner is added on the basis of the two position type to make the displacement of the push rod proportional to the signal pressure.
